WHO WE ARE

The NTBFit Kettlebell Competition Team was formed in April of 2018. We are located in Seattle, WA, on occupied land of the Duwamish people. As part of the NTBFit Kettlebell Competition Team, we agree to uphold these values:

  • To foster a positive and supportive environment that builds healthy competition within ourselves that uplifts others as we climb, understand the true meaning of being part of a team and to lead by example for each other

  • To promote healthy sportspersonship within the team as well as in the KB Sport community, whether online or in person at events and competitions

  • To create a safe space and uphold an inclusive environment for all people regardless of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, size, age or ability.

2023 HIGHLIGHTS

  • In-Person Workshops returned!

  • Mary competed in California while continuing her journey in long distance trail running

  • Added lifting sessions for the team and friends of the team, glad to have some familiar faces as well as new ones join in

  • Susan completed her first Pentathlon as her first lifting session! So strong!

2022 HIGHLIGHTS

  • Coach Liz took a break from competitive lifting, had zero regrets

  • Team members Alison and Joanna competed in purple for the first time as new additions to #TeamPurpleRain

  • The team got together a little more frequently while keeping everyone safe

  • Adam is on his way back to lifting, after spending all summer doing Spartan racing!

  • Moreen and her partner Ryan welcomed baby Henry this year!


2021 HIGHLIGHTS

  • Returned to in-person team practices! Along with hybrid weekend practices and team social meet ups

  • Welcomed new team members!

  • Competed virtually in international competitions, from Canada to the Philippines

  • Coach Liz receives CMS Rank for 10” Long Cycle 16kg at Crazy Monkey

2020 HIGHLIGHTS

  • Had our first team members compete in Marathon (30” OALC and 60” OALC) at SISU Astoria Kettlebell Sport Ultra Marathon

  • Moved team practices to virtual to keep the team safe and continue to train from home

  • Organized a team One Hour Long Cycle and contributed funds to a local organization, Nurturing Roots Farm

  • Competed for the first time virtually for OKCI Vancouver Open, Crazy Monkey IKO USA National Championships, Westshore Warehouse Open and Nanaimo Kettlebell Club 4th Annual Grip Strength Competition

  • Ranked #14 in the IKO KB Sport World League for Team Score 2019

2019 HIGHLIGHTS

  • Competed for the first time as a team internationally at the OKCI Vancouver Open

  • Continued to expand the team

  • Competed in local competitions: Crazy Monkey IKO USA National Championships, Northwest Kettlebell Championships and 3rd Annual Seattle Pro-Am

  • Participated in One Hour Long Cycle

  • Coach Liz receives CMS Rank for 10” Biathlon 16kg at Northwest Kettlebell Championships

2018 HIGHLIGHTS

  • Established a home for the team as Strive & Uplift in Ballard

  • Created Kettebell Sport Courses to onboard new kettlebell lifters in an integrated, safe way that introduced mobility, strength and conditioning along with progression in technique

  • Had our first team member compete at Crazy Monkey IKO USA National Championships

  • Participated in One Hour Long Cycle

  • Welcomed new lifters to the team
